Houston shares with us more results from this years IHSC. In the Pro/Am Classic Hustle (Routine Division) 1st place went to Cheryl Highwarden & Damon D'Amico, 2nd place was William Whitlow & Irene Griffin and in 3rd place was Danette Crocker & Raye Avery.
The hot tamale train left the station as "So You Think You Can Dance" has returned. They are popping, and locking. Dancers from across the nation compete in everything from Hip-Hop, Krumping, popping, Salsa, Jookin' to Jive to win the judges' praises. The show is now featuring the audition stage where the dancers attempt to move onto Las Vegas for the ultimate show down.
The voluptuous Karina Smirnoff, from Dancing With the Stars, is not only engaged and planning her wedding day to Maksim but is also working on opening up her own first dance studio.
New this year, the New York Hustle Congress 2009 introduces the VIP Hustle Congress Pass. This will include admission to the entire NYC Salsa Congress, so both for one price again. It will only be honored when bought from the NYHC registration so no Salsa passes will be given admission to the Hustle Congress.
According to the "Manawatu Evening Standard", Michael Jackson has hired leading choreographer Kenny Ortega (who he worked with on his Dangerous and HIStory world tours) to come up with a unique move to rival his famous "moonwalk" to be incorporated into his London shows this summer.
