Happy birthday wishes to Sophy Kdep, Cathy Ricci, Jeff Sherman, John Aulicino, Star Seguinot, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Tina Carlo-Mercado, Tony Troiano, Vince Pappanino, Joy Clark and George Velazquez. A true gentleman on the dance floor, we are sorry to share the passing of Kosti "Gus" Bojazi. Gus social danced in the Philadelphia area for over sixty years. He passed away while enjoying himself this past weekend, at a dance weekend. Gus always had a friendly hello for everyone. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. A memorable video collage has been put together on Youtube. This is from January 18, 2008, the Tribute to Arte Phillips. We are saddened to announce the loss of Robert "Squirrel" Lester. The band was preparing to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. The group, called a doo wop style, racked up 11 top ten hits. Congratulation to Terry Roseborough. He has given Jen McDonough a ring and asked for her hand in marriage. We are very happy for them both. Hold the date, Discoamerica returns July 2nd to the 4th at the Crown Plaza in King Of Prussia Pa. New for 2010 a team match held on Sunday afternoon. Each team will consist of 4 couples: 1 Pro/Pro, 1Pro-Am-Female, 1Pro-Am Male and 1 Am/Am. Carmen and Rico will be holding a Swing Workshop at Body Works Fitness Center in Hauppauge This will be a REVIEW of ALL the three previous Workshops. This workshop is geared ONLY to those who have some comfort with East Coast Swing (triple rhythm), and NOT for the very beginner. This fun afternoon is for anyone who had attended at least one of the last three workshops or for those who had not attended any of the workshop's but would like to learn some great new moves. So, if you forgot any of the routines this is an opportunity to do them again and/or learn the ones you missed. BRAND NEW exciting Swing moves will also be introduced. The
total cost is only $25 per person. Payment can be made at time of arrival. Snacks will be served and a 10 minute break each hour. Please bring a partner.
