"Kush" Griffith passed away last week from a heart attack. He
is a legend of funk music. He worked at Motown as the house
band, "Bottom & Company" - and he's an integral part of
Bootsy's Rubber Band, the J.B.'s and band leader for P-Funk spinoffs.

Radcliff along with $1000.00 2nd - Frank Mazzarella & Susan

* The first motion picture to bring the
hustle to the silver
screen was "Roseland" in 1977 staring Christopher Walken and a young
Hustle Hall Of Fame Champion, Floyd Chishom and his partner
Annette. * In addition to her recording and performing career, Donna
Summer is an accomplished visual artist whose work has been shown at
exhibitions and galleries in every major U.S. City and in Japan in a
special exhibition sponsored by Steven Spielberg. In 2003, Random House
published her first book, Ordinary Girl?
*A young Janet Jones competed on the televised "Dance Fever" show in
1979 then became a member of the dance group Motion on that very same
show. In 1984 she met her husband-to-be, hockey legend Wayne Gretzky,
when he served as a judge on Dance Fever. She would go on to actor in
over a dozen movies including
"A Chorus Line," "Staying Alive" and "Alpha Dog."
*One of the early dance troops that later gave rise to many hustle
greats was the Latin Symbolics in New York. This exciting team was
under the leadership of George Vascones and his partner Denise
Florencio
* Disco Diva Andrea True, best known for her smash dance hits in the
mid 70's including "More More More" had an early career in adult films.
She stared in the 1970 X rated film French Wives. * In 1978 they won
New York's crown
jewel, the prestigious "Harvest Moonball" All around title, Tony
& Susan Marolda, rocked the Felt Forum in Madison Square
Garden.
* Mamma Mia, the Broadway musical, debuted in
1999. Based on the music of the dance band Abba. The show continues to
tour thru out the USA today.
* Donna Summer has earned 5 Grammy awards, 3 consecutive #1 platinum
albums (she is the only artist ever to accomplish this), 11 gold
albums, 4 #1 singles, 2 platinum singles, and 12 gold singles.

Hi Ron
When asked to dance by one of the many (too many, not enough leaders)
followers one can say a variety of things, most of them
polite. What kind of angry victim is this writer? (from
DanceTalk 6/18/07) Have they missed the other side of the
coin, the so many shy and unassertive followers who come out for an
evening and never get a dance? Certainly one thing is sure:
they have missed the joy of the dance and the spirit of friendship that
is the opportunity out there. - Perhaps the writer (and all of us from
time to time) would benefit more from reading Erik Novoas dance
etiquette tips. Ive included them here.

to let you know I was a big fan of Hope, Chris, Buddy and Angie, Lucas
