This Weeks Highlights
Karen & I want to thank everyone who attended our dance on
March 1st and help make it such a success. The show by Descarga Latina
+ Nelson Flores was great. - The workshops the next day Louis told me
they were excellent.
I also want to thank everyone who supported, my daughter Alexis in
Conn. this past weekend in "Simply Ballroom".
I have been developed a contact person within Royal Carribean - We are
looking for - Ballroom couples for 6 ships with principle caliber
ballroom experience. You will require Cha , Jive and a quick step +
Rhumba and any other Latin Discipline that you feel com comfortable
dancing. You must have total command of the stage with disply excellent

Happy birthday wishes to Yvette Rivera,
Randy Atlas,
Michelle Sanchez and Teddy Lopez.
Born 87 years ago, the incomparable, Cyd Charisse, celebrates
her birthday. One of the finest dancers to ever grace the silver
screen. Back in 1952, this dance diva, insured her legs with a
$5-million policy.
He started in the music industry at age 12 performing with his fathers
band " The Bebops" then moved on to The Delfonics, The Ink Spots and
Wilson Pickett. Buddy Miles died this past week. He
Co-founded the legendary Band of Gypsies with Jimi Hendrix and Buddy
later recorded the California Raisins commercials.
DJ Bobby Stinger passed away last
week. He was the
man in the booth at Elan's in center city Philadelphia and the 'London
Victory Club'. He was a first class DJ. Please keep his family in your
thoughts and prayers.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Gregory Harrison
with the loss of his mother Cleo Doris Harrison. She passed away this
past week after years of suffering. Please keep them in your thoughts
and prayers.
Our friends at East Bay Ballroom share the sad news of the passing of Skip
Jones. He was a pillar of the dance community and an
incredible promoter, lover of live music and dance in New England. Skip
founded the Friends of Ballroom Dancing, and gave selflessly to the
community. He will be greatly missed and loved by everyone that had the
honor of knowing him.
One night only, Dance Contest at Zachary's in Long
Island. Next Friday, March 14th. First place wins a cool one thousand
dollars in cash and prizes. The contest is for amateurs only. See more

It's not to late to take part in the 2008 MadJam,
the weekend is non stop action. With the best dancers, competitors, DJs
