Mad Jam was .................Out of this
World
The 5th annual MadJam was nothing less then
spectacular. The dancers
were brilliant, the music was non stop and
there was never a dull
moment.
Something tells me there is going to be a
6th, 7th, 10th, 20th and 50th
annual MadJam....and why not, the fabric of
this event combines, great
caring people that listen and keep making
this event bigger and better.
The surprises kept coming all weekend. With
so many highlights, a
personal best was watching the adagio
performed by David Savoy and
Jenya Goremykina. Dancing to Ribbon In The
Sky, the incredible overhead
lifts had the audience mesmerized.
Finalist from "So You Think You can Dance",
Heidi, was on hand to
teach, judge and chat with fellow dancers.
Right when you think you
have seen it all, the spot light competitions
held on Saturday night
had heads spinning. Jordan Frisbee &
Tatiana Mollmann had the
ballroom room in the palm of their
hands. The huge dance
floor was packed with non stop dancing
featuring the most exciting hand
and swing dancers from both coasts. Not to be
out done, the hustle room
bumped it up under the knowledgeable hands of
DJs Nino Torre, Bobby
Gerard, Vicki Kay and Brian Gallagher. The
hustle attendance has
reached a new high. The room was packed until
the wee hours. And how
can you not make mention of the midnight
buffet. What a way to top off
the evening. Some of the finest competitors
in hustle spun all night
