Happy birthday wishes to Nelson "Paradise" Roman, Bernard Martinez, Jack Pulma, Barbara Tibaldi, Bob Scott, Stacey Tove, Yvette Berges and Seena Osno.
Our heart felt condolences go out to dance pro Deano Georgio during this extremely difficult time. His father passed away this past week after a long health battle. Please keep Deano and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Legal rights have been granted for the fourth coming making of the musical, Thriller, for Broadway. The epic Michael Jackson video is being adapted for the big stage.

* Theater Arts and Hustle champion, Miguel Marrero, was the 1979 Hustle Harvest Moon Ball Champion and 3 round Hustle winner on "Dance Fever". Twenty years later, he took first place at the Madison Square Garden in the hustle at the Dancesport Championships.
* For the last 84 years, the most incredible and popular dance competition has taken place. The Black Pool Dance Festival is held each spring in England. The best dance couples compete and are represented by more then 60 countries. There are 12 different divisions. Last year more then 1,600 couples competed.
* He passed away at the early age of only 49, but Gregg Diamond had many hits under his group name, "Bionic Boogie," where he collaborated with the late Luther Vandross. He wrote and produced the hit "Love In Motion" for George McCrae and wrote the mega hit "More More More" for Andrea True.
* Tony Meredith & Melanie LaPatin, have been choreographing some hot routines on SYTYCD. They own "Dance Time Squares Studio" located in the heart of Manhattan, They have collected a number of titles over the years including 4 time North American Latin Champions, US Pro Latin American champs, Latin World Cup, Dancesport World Cup and 3 time winners of the "Championship Ballroom Dancing" seen on PBS TV.
* The Weather Girls had a monster hit with "It's Raining Men," a song written by Paul Jabara and Paul Shaffer, in 1979. Paul Shaffer is best know from the David Letterman show. Jabara wrote the classic "Last Dance" for Donna Summer. He tragically died in 1992 at the young age of 44.
* One of the early television shows dedicated to dancing was The Arthur Murray Show. It aired in the 1950's and was hosted by the famous Arthur and Kathryn Murray. Their successful chain of franchised ballroom dance studios, still exists today, all over the USA.
* The youngest hustle dancer to ever been honored with the "Life Time Achievement Award," was Silvana Gallagher. She was presented this award by the World Hustle Dance Championships in 2007. Although, the youngest recipient she has captured virtually all the hustle crowns along with partner Brian Gallagher.
* The God Father of Disco, Vince Montana Jar. composed six albums for Salsoul. The first single on Salsoul was "The Salsoul Hustle" and was followed by other classics like "Tangerine," "Magic Bird of Fire," "Chicago Bus Stop" and "Salsoul Rainbow." Vince is still going strong today.
* Frank & Vicki Reagan dominated ballroom dancing in Canada during the 70' in both standard and Latin divisions, winning many competitions including the North American Ten-Dance title. They would move on to the United States and once again have great success by winning all the gold.
