Bikini Martini Hustle Night
Talking about thinking outside of the box. Here is a night of dance,
fashion, competitions and workshops. Its the first of it's kind. The
Bikini Martini Hustle Night, taking place on February 29th,
this Friday, at Soho Dance. An extravagant night of dance. Get ready to
dance and be entertained. The dance party kicks off at 9:30PM but don't
miss the dance workshop from 8:30PM to 9:30PM with dance stars,
Elizabeth Darchi and Louie Orlando. Recognized as one of the most
exciting floor dance teams on the circuit, Elizabeth
& Louis are
staff members for some of the top events. Then get ready for spring.
There will be a special Swimsuit fashion show to get you ready for the
warm weather. The show will feature the hot swim suits featured in
Sports Illustrate. Swimsuit designer C-Girl for Carloscloset.com will
show his line of suits to get you ready for 2008. There will also be an
open hustle dance contest with guest judges. The grand prize winners
will receive two spectator pass packages to Miami for the International
Hustle & Salsa Championships. The semi finals will be held on
Feb 29, March 28th and the finals on April 25th.
This is sure to be a night of surprises, laughs, dancing and fun. Don't

CRAIG HUTCHINSON - A Celebration of the
Life of a Dancer
Join us for this special evening of dance bringing together
Local, Regional, and National Swing Dancers in honor of Craig
Hutchinson's life. A Swing Dance Hall of Fame member and founder of
DC's Potomac Swing Dance Club as well as the Virginia State Open. Craig
passed away in October 2007. From his beginning as a ballroom dancer,
Craig fell in love with all forms of swing dance, and we feel a great
sense of gratitude to Craig for his many contributions to the
local and national dance communities. On March 14th, this
evening to celebrate his life will include tributes to Craig, dance
performances, a midnight Big Apple Jam, plenty of dancing to live music
by the Mustangs, as well as DJ music, beginner swing lessons
w/Dawn & Dean Garrish, and MC Grace Killelea. The
Washington Swing Dance Committee and Dance Promoters of the Washington,
DC Metro Area are your Hosts for the evening, in cooperation with the
Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture, the National Park
Service, and Montgomery County Maryland. We hope you'll join us in this
celebration of our founder's amazing contributions to the dance world !!
