Get well wishes to Teddy "Panama" Dormoi, he under
went surgery last week and will be out of action. Ted was a Philly
dance champion during the 80's as well as a professional musician -
performing percussion's for Karen "Hot Shot" Young, Vince Montana Jr
& the Salsoul Orchestra as well as other artists.
It was six years ago that the dance community came together for Ginger's
Wish.
Ginger DiMaio still lives in our hearts as her love and spirit for the
dance carries on. She is a member of the "Legends" division in the
Hustle Hall Of Fame.

-"Hustle USA"
A passion for dance.... a love for the hustle..... brought together
four dancers with the same common interests and desire.... "to bring
dancers together and help grow the interest level of the Hustle". Each
partner brought to the table a variety of skills and talents, with each
coming from a different region of the country.
Together, they would introduce, "the first of its kind", Hustle
Weekend, "Hustle USA". From New York - Maria Torres, known for her high
energy and creativity, she has a long resume in choreography,
competitions and acting/dancing in motion pictures. Originally from
Long Island - Debra Hampton, with years of teaching under her belt,
popular in the social scene and competitions, Debra is well versed in
hustle and Swing. From Philadelphia - Donna Boyle, teaching for over 25
years, Donna has performed and competed on TV and created her own
competition "Disco America."
From LA California - David Sarul, AKA Disco Dave, brings floor work and
a creative style mixing the west and east coast styles into his hustle.
Teaching on both coasts, his Swing and hustle
technic.
"Maria, Dave, Deborah and Myself were all in Cape May, NJ, for
a swing dance weekend, when we decided to run a competition of our own.
Our goal was to bring together all the dancers from around the country
that share the same passion for the hustle as we do," recalls
Donna Boyle. The first Hustle USA Dance Championships took place on
October 12 & 13th 1995, with over 300 dancers attending the
first gala event in New York City.
