Melendez. He supported and promoted Salsa events
all over the country. David strived to teach the kids - our future. We

Rob & Sheila's Swing Team is now forming.
Practices begin February 19th and meeting on the 1st and 3rd Mondays in
Haddonfield, NJ from 8:00-10:00. If you have an interest in being a

Hats off to Brian Fortuna, he has been selected to
be on the up coming season of "Dancing With The Stars". Brian has been
performing in the DWTS tour and will now appear on the weekly show
beginning March 19th.
Last year "Bob Dylan" the musical debuted. This year look for Young
Frankenstein the musical to open in New York
City.
Due to the wonderful success of their first party, Luis and
Maryann Rosa will be hosting the third Friday of every month
"Friday Night Fever" at IBBG. The first one will be this Friday, Feb
16.
It maybe cold out but MadJam is heating up. Don't

David Melendez
We are so saddened by the news that David Melendez has passed away. We
have so much to be thankful to him. He was such a great man with such
great talent and inspiring so many wonderful dancers. He spread the joy
of dance to the kids, and so many kids have learned to dance because of
David. He was so good to us bringing us into the salsa world, and
another joy opened up for us. Our hustle kids are devastated as we are
by this loss. They were handpicked by David to work us. He gave us the
honor of working with the kids. There is an unbelievable joy that comes
from that. And many people have complimented us on what a great thing
we do for the kids, but we have to thank David for this. We will be
sure to carry this on. We all miss him so much. He will never, ever be
forgotten. He will always live on in all of us. He has touched our
lives so much and inspired us so much, as we know he has done the same
to many many other people. David, we love you.

providing you with our weekly newsletter, DanceTalk®.
Our goal is to keep the dance community, at large, informed of dance
socials, new and classic dance oriented music (and the artists),
conventions, dance history/pioneers and dance related news. The
newsletter is distributed weekly, in bulk mail. The system has its
kinks and sometimes doesn't execute as intended. Various e-mail
providers are installing tougher and tougher filters that block e-mails
from their users.
If you don't receive your weekly copy, please tell us. We have no way
of tracking who received it or not. You can also go directly to the

Hello Ron,
First of all, I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your
family personally for attending our Grand Opening. We were
very happy you were there.
Secondly, on behalf of Jameson, Rob and myself, we also like to thank
the community for the overwhelming outpouring of support that everyone
showed that night. It was unbelievable how many people
attended our Grand Opening. We had over 300
attendees. Everyone had an amazing time and we look forward
to more wonderful parties in the future.

Great letter, I would like to comment on the hustle hall of fame and
give my congratulations to Susan Marolda and the other new members. I
met Susan at the International Hustle - Salsa competiton last spring.
She is a true superstar. I saw her on dance fever in the 80's. I think
it is great that you pay tribute to these and other dancers. Thanks Ron
for spreading the word and keeping the hustle a live. I would also like
to give a shout out to my friends in New York - Gina and Beth.
