recovery! I miss the party at Michaels on Tuesday night, and
all your kindnesses are great motivation to be a good patient, recover

weeks back from Taylor, some of the so called Professionals don't do

Mike Brooks here saying hi and

part 2 box set worked a lot of those episodes and hopeful you and the
gang will see Michael Edward Brooks in the credits in American Gangster
coming out in Theaters Nov 2 ..BIG NEWS I am a partner in a club in
Vineland NJ and also spinning a live radio dance party on 94.3 FM
Friday nights 9:30 til 12:30 on air then another hour in club. It's
called KC's Grill & Pub, 1931 south Lincoln Ave in Vineland.
Plenty of free parking and NO COVER we are in the process of building a

forward to seeing some old friends. One of the largest dance floors in
south jersey and you'll see one of the few remaining memories as I have
been told of the Latin Casino. Yes,yes,yes I own most of the sound

looks great, We will a grand opening party the wed nite before

Hey Rowen, I enjoy reading your newsletter. For some reason I don't
seem to get it every week but still appreciate all the time and effort
you put in. I'm relatively new to swing, shag and hustle but have been
really enjoying the new patterns we learn in our group classes..... I
see from your listing that there are many dance events coming
up in the near future in different states. I'm glad to see that there
are a lot of promoters. We have always wondered what would
happen to these dances in the future. Looks like there is enough
interest to keep it going for a long time. Keep up the good work,

Hi Ron,
Thank you for the section on "The Guy Nobody Wants to Dance With."
I have been dancing and competing now in ballroom as well as hustle and
salsa for more than six years now. I recently had two incidents with a
novice dancer who was aware how long I've been dancing through a
previous conversation we had only two weeks prior. In this
six-figure hustle repertoire, he preceeded to tell me how one move
should be executed by ME. I tried to appease him, knowing
that many beginners are excited about their lessons and what they
learned, so I listened politely. He was not able to adjust
his movements to blend with his follower. I told him I
understand what you're looking for. He insisted to continue
to 'teach' me the proper way to dance that move. I started to
get annoyed. I tried to let him understand there are many
ways this can be done and it's a very common move in salsa.
He continued to escalate this discussion which finally
forced me to be rude. I finally said that I've been
dancing for six years now and I think I got by now. I walked
away and avoided him the rest of the night. However, he
seemed to make sure to dance in front of me with other ladies in his
effort to show me his dance moves.
My second incident was hustle dancing with a man I've danced with many
times and he is a very good dancer. I will not name
him. He didn't look at me at all during the entire
dance. I find it rude but thought that this must be
an off night for him. He was turning me and his hand was too
low and I got smacked in the eye. It happens sometimes, but
this caught me just right and my eye swelled up before the dance was
over. He never noticed this happened, never stopped, and thus
didn't apologize. I never said anything to him but made
another mental note to not dance with him too often if he's distracted
this way.

Update on Chris Hemmer: from DJ Vicki
Chris is home with me now. He came home from the hospital on
Saturday, November 3rd. He is under 24 hour care and
supervision at home at this time. He is still in a wheelchair
and cannot yet walk, but can stand. Home physical therapy
will start soon though and we are hoping he will be able to put a
little weight on his (broken) left leg soon within a couple of
weeks. Right now it is non-weight bearing. He is
still in a "halo" and will be for some time yet. Please
continue to keep him in your prayers and enveloped by your
love.
